Cluster Planning & Coordination
Clustering Committee Focuses
On the Past, Present and Future
Since Fall 2007, members of the St. Mary Magdalene/St. Justin Martyr clustering committee have had the great experience of getting to know each other and learning the history and workings of each others parishes. Though each parish has differing programs and ideas, both work to bring God’s spirit alive in the people they serve.
Present committee discussions focus on possible areas of collaboration that will save money, yet improve ministries and programs for members of each congregation. Due to the successful consolidation of our two schools, we are already ahead of many others in our diocese.
The SMM-SJM Clustering Committee has discerned a plan that will be submitted in September to Most Rev. Richard Lennon. During June and July, parishioners had an opportunity to make consultative comments to the plan. The bishop will return the plan sometime in Spring of 2009.
