Stewardship Mission Statement

The practice of stewardship is a way of life for each member of the St. Mary Magdalene Parish Community
recognizing and contributing one's God given gifts of time, talent and treasure
in order to build up the Kingdom of God.

Stewardship Prayer

Oh, Lord, giver of life and source of our freedom, we are reminded by the Psalmist
that Yours is "the earth and its fullness; the world and those who dwell in it."
We know that it is from your hand that we have received all we have and are and will be.
Gracious and loving God, we understand that you call us to be the stewards of
your abundance, the caretakers of all you have entrusted to us.
Help us always to use your gifts wisely and teach us to share them generously.
May our faithful stewardship bear witness to the one love of Christ in our lives.
We pray with grateful hearts, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Stewardship Committee News
Ann Abraham, Stewardship Chairperson
The Stewardship Committee has had an agressive agenda this past year.  We have formed several sub-committees that will accomplish the varied tasks of the parish. Many of the groups involve evangelization and welcoming.  We want to encourage our whole parish to adopt the Stewardship Way of Life.  That is to accept that God is the giver of all good things.  We want our parish to be actively engaged in the various ministries.  When we serve each other, we are serving the Lord.  We serve God and return to God the time, talents, and treasures that through God's abundant grace God has given to us.  Through God's grace we learn that the desire to serve is itself a gift from God. Recently the Stewardship Committee has worked towards implementing a stewardship commitment from all parishioners.  we grow in our faith through reflection of the Gospel and through other stewardship resources.  We desire a vibrant parish where we worship, give thanks, and share the Good News of the life, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  We want St. Mary Magdalene Parish to be a place where all are welcomed, cared for and dearly loved!

2012 Stewardship Awards

St. Mary Magdalene is very blessed to have an awesome community of believers who put their faith into action to change peoples' lives for the better. In 2008, we initiated Stewardship Awards, to recognize parishioners who have exhibited dedication to living a life as a disciple of Christ through the practice of stewardship: using their time, talent, and treasure to spread the Gospel message.

Because so many SMM members live the life of stewardship, it has been difficult to single out a few, so this year we chose a representative from each decade or age group! All of our nominees were very deserving of recognition. Congratulations to our winners!

Parish Faith Formation, Service, Gatherings and Fundraisers provide opportunities to practice our stewardship. When we use our Time, Talent and Treasure we help support the mission and ministry of the parish which changes peoples lives for the better. Our parish fundraisers helped support our parish ministry by $105,000 this past year. Please support us through prayer and participation at these Stewardship Events. Read on... Read More
We are a people of faith and vision. From our beginnings as a diocese in 1847, we have grown to a community of nearly 750,000 Catholics. It is our responsibility to grow our faith and it is through our personal relationship with Jesus Christ that we are energized to continue His work on earth. To that end, as of last weekend, over $200,00.00 were pledged at masses, making our total parish pledge over $500,000.00. THANK YOU! Read More
