Families in Faith PSR

"God is the giver of all life, human and divine...
May the parents be the first teachers of their child in the ways of faith...
May they also be the best of teachers,
bearing witnesss to the faith by what they say and do,
in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen"

Excerpt from the Baptismal Rite

When the schedule states "All Age Gathering" in the gym, everyone will gather for a hot breakfast meal in the gym, then engage in prayer, song, and group activities that will introduce the topic of the month. Please note that parents of preschoolers will have the option of sending their children to the babysitting room following breakfast during this session. Read More
During the second session of each month, breakfast will be items that you can "grab and go" with children and adults separating by age level, including a special needs grouping. Adults of children as well as adults in the community are welcome to the adult break-out sessions each month which includes a Staff Member or Special Guest Catechist on the Liturgical topic of the month, CAFE with Cathy Stirling, Nooma Videos with Colleen Byrne, Book Club with Kathy Sull and Personal Gift Assessments with Ann Abraham. Read More
Service days provide an opportunity to attend their child's breakout session and together practiced discipleship by learning about and praying for people in need and participating in a service project. Check the Families in Faith schedule for Service Days Read More
The church teaches that parents are the first and best teachers of our children in the ways of faith and St. Mary Magdalene is comitted to this effort in assisting parents to be the best teachers. Parents are invited to enroll their children in Grades Preschool to Grade 6 in Families in Faith (FIF) which meets Sunday mornings from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Parents attend all sessions with their child. Sometimes we will meet as a large group in the gym, other weeks we will have age level breakout sessions in meeting and classrooms throughout the building, and sometimes we work together in classrooms on a Service Project.
