Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is called the RCIA .  This is a process to help adults wishing to be fully initiated in the Catholic Church.  Fully initiated means they will spend time preparing for Baptism, Confimation and Eucharist.  The RCIA team works closely with this group as they grow in faith together. Please pray for our Candidates and Catechumen on this journey!

If you know of an adult who is interested in becoming Catholic, please have them contact Deacon Carl Toomey.

Fr. Ron Wearsch Rome Sabbatical
from January 30th to April 17th, 2012

Taking some extended time with God in prayer, study and reflection is so very important. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to attend Diocese of Cleveland Sabbatical program from now until just after Easter.

There is one priest from the Diocese of Cleveland that attends this Sabbatical program each Fall and Spring. Fr. John Singler attended the Sabbatical two years ago. As you might remember, I traveled to Rome to visit Fr. John while he was there on Sabbatical. It was a wonderful experience, and now I am blessed with this same opportunity. Through God’s providence this opportunity arose the same year that I will celebrate my 20th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood (5/30/1992) and my 50th Birthday (6/22/1962).
